Nashville, Tenn. — October 7, 2025 —On October 3, 2025, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee issued a proclamation officially designating October as Pharmacists Month in Tennessee, following a request by the Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA). This recognition honors the vital role pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists play in advancing public health and supporting patient care across the state.

TPA CEO Anthony Pudlo reflected on the resilience of pharmacy professionals, stating, “This month is a time to celebrate Tennessee pharmacists and the entire pharmacy team. Despite facing significant challenges in recent years, they have remained steadfast in their commitment to patient care. I am deeply grateful for their ongoing and unwavering contributions.”

The Governor’s proclamation acknowledges the pharmacy profession’s “critical role in improving the health and well-being of Tennesseans through the safe and effective use of medications,” and commends their “unwavering dedication, especially during times of crisis.”

TPA President Katy Wright added, “Pharmacists are among the most trusted and accessible healthcare providers in Tennessee. We are grateful to Governor Lee for recognizing their impact and contributions to a healthier Tennessee.”
