Based on feedback provided by Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA) member pharmacists and valued pharmacy partners, TennCare has extended the deadline for pharmacies to submit information regarding the Professional Dispensing Fee (PDF) survey until Friday, January 20, 2017. Please see below for the complete notice sent out by TennCare January 13, 2017.
|From the Bureau of TennCare:
Dear Pharmacy Owner or Manager,
We recently received feedback from individual pharmacies expressing concern in completing the Professional Dispensing Fee (PDF) survey by the deadline of January 13, 2017. A few pharmacies have asked for extensions. Our goal is to foster maximum participation as it is critical to ensuring TennCare’s new reimbursement methodology is as accurate, consistent, and transparent as possible. As such, we have asked Mercer to adjust its schedule and provide you with a one (1) week extension. The new deadline for the PDF survey as administered by Mercer will be January 20th, 2017. This is the latest possible date Mercer can receive your survey for inclusion in its analysis. We appreciate Mercer’s willingness to work with us to best serve you.
To reiterate: Your response to the PDF survey is now due on or before January 20, 2017. Responses received after January 20 will not be included in our analysis. This deadline extension applies only to the PDF survey conducted by Mercer.
Despite the extension, please do not wait to submit completed surveys. Timing is critical to implement changes by April 1, 2017 in order to comply with the federal Covered Outpatient Drugs Final Rule. Again, all information collected through this survey will remain protected and confidential in accordance with Tennessee law at Tenn. Code Ann. § 71-5-142.
For questions related to the PDF survey, please review the information at the survey homepage, https://ghscapps.mercer.com/tnpharmacy/. You may also contact Mercer by email at RxPDFS@mercer.com or call the Pharmacy Survey Hotline at +1 (877) 854-6776.
For many of you who have already submitted your PDF survey, please disregard this reminder, and we are grateful for your timeliness in participation. If you have not submitted your PDF survey yet, we thank you in advance for your upcoming participation.
TPA greatly appreciates TennCare’s responsiveness to concerns regarding the PDF survey and will continue to work with the Bureau of TennCare on this effort on behalf of our members.
