Insight Into Advocacy: Pharmacy Law Series
TPA’s Insight Into Advocacy series brings timely and essential legal and advocacy education directly to Tennessee pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and students of the profession. These sessions are designed to help TPA members better understand the laws, regulations, and advocacy efforts that shape pharmacy practice in Tennessee.

Purpose and Value

  • Gain practical knowledge of state and federal laws impacting your day-to-day pharmacy operations.

  • Stay up to date on the latest changes from the Tennessee General Assembly, Board of Pharmacy, and Department of Commerce & Insurance.

  • Learn how advocacy and legal compliance intersect to support patient care and protect your profession.

  • Hear from expert speakers, including TPA’s advocacy team, policy makers, and national leaders.

  • Engage in Q&A and discussion to clarify your responsibilities and opportunities to influence change.

Program Schedule and Upcoming Sessions

This series is offered four times each year to keep pharmacy professionals informed and engaged in legislative and regulatory developments. The series includes:

  • A November/December webinar previewing the upcoming Tennessee legislative session and key pharmacy-related issues to watch.

  • A Mid-Session update held during the legislative session to share real-time progress and advocacy opportunities.

  • A Post-Session webinar summarizing passed legislation and changes affecting pharmacy practice.

  • A Summer/Fall session focused on a timely national topic, such as federal legislation, regulatory updates, or Congressional activity impacting pharmacy.

These strategically timed webinars ensure pharmacists stay ahead of changes and can actively support the profession year-round.
