NASHVILLE, TN (June 8, 2026) — The Tennessee Pharmacists Association (TPA) proudly announces the launch of the Tennessee Society of Ambulatory Care Pharmacists (TSACP), a new professional community dedicated to advancing ambulatory care pharmacy practice across the state of Tennessee.
This milestone reflects years of commitment and advocacy from a dedicated group of ambulatory care pharmacists who recognized the need for a formal structure within TPA to support this rapidly growing area of practice. Following their efforts, a proposal was submitted to the TPA Board of Directors to establish the new society.
In February 2026, the TPA Board formally approved the petition, marking a significant step forward for ambulatory care pharmacy in Tennessee. Since then, leadership has been appointed by TPA President Katy Wright to guide the society through its inaugural year.
The Society will be led by Chair Anna Love of Clinton and Chair-Elect Kellie Ball of Knoxville, who will provide strategic direction and serve as key advocates for ambulatory care pharmacists within the association. Supporting them are Secretary Kate Cozart of Clarksville and Secretary-Elect Blake Johnson of Murfreesboro, who will help ensure strong organizational leadership and continuity as the society develops.
“I’m pleased to announce the launch of our new Ambulatory Care Society, created to advance innovation and foster collaboration among members practicing in ambulatory care settings,” said TPA President Katy Wright.
“This new society represents an exciting step forward for our association and for patient care across Tennessee,” added TPA CEO Anthony Pudlo. “By creating a dedicated space for ambulatory care pharmacists to collaborate, innovate, and lead, we are strengthening the profession and expanding our ability to meet the evolving needs of the patients we serve.”
TPA members may now designate the Society of Ambulatory Care Pharmacists (TSACP) as their primary society within their Joyn member profile. Members may continue to affiliate with multiple societies as secondary societies; however, a member’s primary society designation determines participation in society elections and is used in calculating representation within the TPA House of Delegates.
The Society of Ambulatory Care Pharmacists will focus on advancing clinical practice, supporting professional development, and advocating for the vital role ambulatory care pharmacists play in improving health outcomes across Tennessee.
