Tennessee Pharmacists Association

The six-year term of Board of Pharmacy member Charles E. (Buddy) Stephens, DPh, of Lebanon, Tennessee, will expire in July 2014. As required by the current Pharmacy Practice Act (TCA 63-10-502), TPA will submit the names of five qualified individuals for the upcoming Board vacancy to Governor Haslam for consideration for appointment to the Board of Pharmacy.

In accordance with TPA’s newly revised Constitution and ByLaws, nominations will be accepted at the TPA MidYear Meeting, February 24-25, 2014. Note that before the TPA Bylaws were amended in July 2012, nominations were accepted at the Annual Convention each summer. The new provision is intended to allow sufficient time for TPA to submit nominations and the Governor to appoint a new Board member prior to the expiration of the retiring Board member’s term each July.

If you would like to make a nomination or volunteer to serve, please contact Gina at 615-256-3023 or gina@localhost for more information about the nominations process.
